Job Description : Server Operations Administrator

Responsibilities
* Maintain the day to day care and feeding of server population in Asia Pacific.
* Management of data centre facilities in Asia Pacific.
* Responsible for all 1st level installation processes for new service deployment.
* Ensure server population is properly patched in accordance with our processes.
* Maintain Data centre technical documentation.
* Provide 1st and 2nd level server support.
* Adhere to MMC Change management processes and manage server operations change
requests
* Manage the Server Operations incident queues, and ensure timely turn around
time for incident resolution to agreed standards.
* Work with support vendors for timely resolution of hardware faults.
* Maintain server inventories.
* Participate in after hours on-call rotation.
* Daily Backup tape rotation.
* Project and other duties as directed.

Qualifications
* Must be well versed in data center operation for multi national organizations.
* Familiar with major vendor's hardware specification.
* Understanding and knowledge of backups (Netbackup 6.5.4) and other automation
tools (CA Spectrum, BigFix, and HP SIM).
* Familiar with Windows 2008 and VMWare.
* Microsoft MCSE certification preferred.
* ITIL Foundations certified preferred.

Stay Calm
• During the job interview try to relax and stay as calm possible. Take a moment to regroup. Maintain eye contact with the interviewer. Listen to the entire question before you answer and pay attention - you will be embarrassed if you forget the question!

Show What You Know
• Try to relate what you know about the company when answering questions. When discussing your career accomplishments match them to what the company is looking for.

Follow Up
• Always follow-up with a thank you note reiterating your interest in the position. If you interview with multiple people send each one a thank you note.
